Abdul,Exchange default installs a self-signed certificate which isn't trusted default by any of your clients. To deliver outlook anywhere functionality to the outside world you will indeed need an SSL certificate. Besides this can you give some more info on what exactly is not working. Does it work from the local network for example ?Regards,JohanExchange-blog: www.johanveldhuis.nl

As Johan stated, you do need to have a valid SSl inplace to make OutlookAnywhere/ActiveSync to work. As you might have noticed, you get a security warning when browsing to OWA. This is because Exchange 2007/2010 uses a self generated SSL during installation. As the issuer of the certifiate isn't trusted, you get the warning in OWA and OutlookAnywhere/ActiveSync failes to connect as the issuer cannot be verified. The easiest way to resove this issue is to aquire a third party certificate (Verisign, Godady, globalsign, etc). Another option is either a Private or free SSl certificate. This last option require you to add the Root Certificate of the issuer to the trusted root certificates of all your clients.

Hi,1. First the certificate name should be the same as your externalhost name.2. The Public Name in the RPC Web listener must be resolvable to the internal Exchange Server IP Address. You can try to add the following information in the hosts file: IP address of the Exchange Server public name 3. If you just use outlook anywhere internal, then you can use self-signed certificate. If you plan to use outlook anywhere externally, then I recommend you to issue certificate from 3rd CA.I'd like to share article about how to publish outlook anywhere via ISA 2006.Outlook Anywhere 2007 with ISA Server 2006http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Outlook-Anywhere-2007-ISA-Server-2006.htmlRegards,Xiu
